Hello! The City of Socorro Community Initiative (CSCI) would like to introduce you to Ms. Claudia M. Garcia, CSCI Board Chair. Ms. Garcia has lived in Socorro since 1992 and has watched the city grow and change through the years. She has been a schoolteacher, coached little league baseball, and led a troop of girl scouts in the community for over 10 years. She has a passion for public health and demonstrates it through her contributions. Ms. Garcia and her family currently own and operate Day Activity and Health Services long-term health care facilities for the elderly and adults with disabilities. Her goal through this initiative is to help foster more public health programs along with contributing to other areas of need in the Socorro community.
